About the Lab

Our Lab Mission

At the Youth Development in Diverse Contexts (YDDC) lab, we are committed to conducting ethical research that upholds the rights and privacy of all participants, especially those from marginalized communities. We acknowledge the historical injustices and exploitation that specific communities have faced in research studies. As a result, we prioritize the following principles to protect our participants’ rights and interests:

  1. Confidentiality of Participant Information
  2. Ethical Oversight
  3. Community Involvement
  4. Implicit Bias Training and Organizational Race Equity Assessments
  5. Staying True to Our Purpose
